The Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society was formed in London in 1887 to promote the exhibition of decorative arts alongside fine arts. They were held annually from 1888 to 1890 and roughly every three years, at the New Gallery until the outbreak of WW1. This was important in the development of the British Arts and Crafts Movement. This perfectly constructed pot plant holder, formed with a very pleasant blending of oak and rosewood is quintessentially Arts and Crafts.
