The Antique Canterbury was given its name from being the first comissioned piece during the late 18th century, Georgian period, Circa 1780: By the Archbishop of Canterbury who needed a convenient storage for music sheets and books.  This Georgian Antique Canterbury is designed with three bowed dividers and the uprights are rectangular struts. The corner uprights are beautifully shaped, turned and topped with circular finials.  The slimline drawer (not all Canterburies have them!) with turned handles gives additional storage space, standing on four stylish, turned squat legs set in original brass, swivel cup castors.

DIMENSIONS: HEIGHT 52 cm x 46 cm WIDE X 35 cm DEEP
